Saint Joseph Prayer
Saint Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the Throne
of God, I place in you all my interests and desires . Oh Saint Joseph, do assist me
by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son, all spiritual
blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your
heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of
fathers. Oh Saint Joseph, I never weary of contemplating you and Jesus asleep in
your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my
name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my
dying breath. Saint Joseph, Patron of the departing souls, pray for us. Amen.
1900+ year old
prayer !! Promises are that anyone whoever hears this prayer or carries it will
never die a sudden death, nor be drowned, nor will poison take effect on them.
They will not fall into the hands of the enemy, nor be burned in any fire, and
they will not be defeated in any battle.

St Joseph helps Rachel get a townhouse sold almost overnight, that previously would not sell.
I'm an engineer and have to
have everything proven or I have to see it for myself. I was raised a
Catholic but questioned the bible from childhood Sunday school up until
recently. What changed me was in 2003/2004 I owned some condominiums and
was trying to sell all of them. The market had slowed and I was having a
hard time. Even though I had a realtor doing an open house nearly every
weekend for four months. In my desperation I bought two St Joseph statues,
buried them and said the prayer. I buried one in front of one unit and the
second in back of another unit to also test the location for burial. I
didn't tell anyone where the statues were buried so that others wouldn't
influence the selling. Even though I was a non-believer when I buried the
statues I make a promise to God that I would start going to church if he sold
those two units first. Well it wasn't an instant sale. It took
another four months and a few potential sales that fell through on one of the
units and also on a couple of units without statues burier near them. I
myself had forgotten which unit the second statue was buried near. After I
sold two units I had to rent every thing else out in order to make the
payments. So only two units sold, and yes it was the two with the statues
and in the order that I buried the statues. Now being an engineer I needed
to know the odds of this happing. So with help from other engineers we
came up with the calculation below.
Seven
condominium units (actually eight but one unit was not advertised) for sale and
each condominium had a 50/50 chance of selling by its self. I buried a
statue of St Joseph in front of unit number four then I buried another statue of
St Joseph in back of unit number two. What are the odds of selling both
units number four and number two in that order and without selling any other
unit?
Well the formula to calculate the odds of selling unit
number 2 and 4 and no other unit is 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 =
1/128 which is 128 to 1 odds. But then you add in the factor of picking
unit number 4 selling first, then unit number 2 selling second and the formula
is: 7 to 1 odds for the first unit times 6 to 1 odds for the second unit, or 1/7
x 1/6 = 1/42 or 42 to 1 odds.
Now you combine both odds and you
have:
1/128 x 1/42 = 1/5376 or (approximate) 5376 to 1 odds of selling two of
the seven units and in the order that the statutes were buried (actually the
odds are higher because I calculated for seven units but there were eight units
total that I was trying to sell).
The odds are too great to ignore so
yes every Sunday I'm going to a Christian church but this time when I'm sitting
in church I'm a believer. I'm not saying that burying a St Joseph statue
really works; it may have worked for me because God wanted me back in
church. I'm saying that we need to believe in God and that Jesus was sent
to save
us.

The largest church in the world dedicated to St. Joseph is the Oratory named for him in Montreal, Canada. On several visits to Montreal from my home in Michigan, I visited the Oratory and became aware of its founder, Brother Andre Bessette, who had an inspiring devotion to St. Joseph. Brother Andre was a humble little Holy Cross brother. He lived a life filled with mystical graces, miraculous cures, and an unwavering confidence in his "friend" St. Joseph. Blessed Andre died in 1937 and was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1982. Not many Canadians, even the Catholic ones, outside of Montreal, had ever heard of Brother Andre. No one I had ever met back in the U.S. had certainly ever heard of him. Imagine my surprise when a co-worker here in Michigan, the first American that I ever met who knew of him, was a grandson of one of the Brother's personal friends during his lifetime in Canada. When my own father became ill, my friend shared a relic of Blessed Andre (a St. Joseph medal), personally given to my friend's grandmother by Brother Andre. The medal provided great comfort to my father in his final months. Remarkable events in our faith lives are surely not coincidences. They are signs of the guiding, loving hands of the near-saints like Blessed Andre, and great saints such as St. Joseph. James

My new husband changed jobs only 8 months after we bought our first house. It was probably more than we could afford. When we spoke with the realtor of selling it, he was completely against trying. The market was so bleak at the time. We moved 600 miles away and rented out the house for a year. It was horrible having our first house torn up by renters. We put it on the market and paid two mortgages for another 10 months trying desperately to sell it. We were going broke with over $3000 in mortgage payments each month. Then we heard of praying the novena to St. Joseph, burying a statue, upside down and facing the road, and putting the statue in a place of honor in our new home. With in six weeks, the old house was sold and St. Joseph was in his place of honor in our new home! Lynne

Three years ago, we attempted to sell our house with no luck. We needed to move because our family was growing and we were in a very small house. We later found a perfect piece of land and a builder willing to build us a new larger house at a price we could afford. We burried a statute of St. Joseph and prayed for his intercession. Within a month our house was sold at a price we needed to obtain.
Later, when we were building our house, my husband again desperately sought the intercession of St. Joseph. We were drilling a well and had already reached 500 feet without any significant water. We needed at least a few gallons per minute to support our household of seven children at the time. We had reached our budjet limit and things looked very bleak, we had very few options. I turned the situation over to my husband. When my husband returned home, he had tears in his eyes, he was emotionally drained, but he had great news. He took a gamble and allowed the well company to continue drilling while he prayed to St. Joseph. The very next drill rod they sunk produced an amazing 15 gallons per minute of crystal clear water. Even our realtor does not believe the quality of our water.
Now, our family must again ask for the intercession of St.
Joseph as my husband has accepted a job in central New York. My children and I
(including our newest baby) must remain in NH until we sell our house. St.
Joseph PRAY FOR US! Lisa

My husband was a Commander in the Air Force during the Gulf War in 1991. He was unexpectedly called up to Command a Squadron in Saudi Arabia in early January of that year. My prayers to dear St. Joseph began when we learned he would go overseas, and the above prayer to St. Joseph, patron of soldiers and fathers, was fervently invoked. I felt especially close to St. Joseph, as he was even the patron of our Catholic parish where we were stationed. My wonderful husband left me and our seven children, to defend his country and serve our President and government. My prayers for his safe-keeping were answered when he and his squadron were unexpectedly and hurriedly evacuated from their base to come home, due to the start of "holy days" in the Muslim world, and their close proximity to those holy places such as Mecca. They were all shipped home safely, out of harms way and the end of the war, and arrived safely on St. Joseph's very feast day, March 19th, in 1991. Thanks again, St. Joseph, whose prayer is mighty before the throne of God. I love you, Marlene

On February 14, 1997, I was cleaning the top of my stove, when my right sleeve caught on fire. My father and brother had taken the day off from work and were sitting by the kitchen table when I caught fire.
I yelled, "My sleeve is on fire and it is hot!" My brother jumped up and tried to help me put the fire out.
As we put the fire out on the sleeve of my bathrobe, the fire shot to the inside of my sleeve and quickly spread around my waist, to the top of my left shoulder, and on to the inside of the front of my robe. I then had fire surrounding my body at that point.
When I managed to get the robe off, I threw it on the floor and my brother tried to stomp the fire out. It was still smoldering when he picked the robe up and threw it in the shower and turned on the water.
Even after having the fire all around my body under my robe, the hair on my arms was not even singed and I was not burned at all.
I believe that I was spared from being burned because of the prayer to St. Joseph (above) which is over 1900 years old and promises that anyone who hears it or carries it will never die a sudden death, nor be drowned, nor will poison take effect on them. They will not fall into the hands of the enemy, nor Be Burned in any Fire, and they will not be defeated in any battle.
St. Joseph
saved me from being severely burned and I will always love him and thank him as
I remember his mercy to me that day. Sincerely, Etta

Here is a true story my family holds dear, and has for years: My Godfather, Jim was heading off to war, the war was Vietnam. And his mother, my Great Aunt Loretta began to pray that now well known St. Joseph prayer found in the blue Pieta prayer book (above), for her son's protection, since there are wonderful and powerful promises attached to not only praying it but carrying it. (And Jim carried the prayer into battle.) Some of those promises are that one will never die a sudden death, nor fall into the hands of the enemy, nor be defeated in battle. While in Nam, Jim was assigned to a reconisence vehicle, and at one point, getting into the heat of battle, he was hit by enemy fire and blown off the vehicle. His mid section, or abdomen was ripped open, his body looked as if it was nearly in half. As doctors received him they were amazed that he was still alive. A steel pin was inserted into him, to keep him held together, which he still has in him to this day. Jim told us, the family, later that the prayer was in his pocket the whole time, and he knew he would make it okay. And he did. My Great Aunt Loretta attested to the fact that St. Joseph saved her son in Nam that day. Jim carried the prayer and they both prayed it. (Matthew 18:19--"If two people agree to the same thing on this earth in prayer, my Father in heaven will surely grant it."--Words of Jesus.) Since that point our whole family has always had devotion to our dear St. Joseph. Katie, Scottsdale AZ

Two years ago my husband and I had a piece of property we had not been able to sell for 7 years even going from one real estate agent to another. We had put an ad in ourselves and no luck. We decided to put the property under the direction of St. Joseph. We made a novena and did bury a small statue to ask for his intercession. The property sold in two weeks. He is a wonderful intercessor, father, and friend. My husband and I love him very much. He was one of the few saints who actually held our infant Savior being his earthly father. God bless, Lorraine

In September of 1989 I put my condo on the market for sale. It was a bad time because of the economy, but it had to be done. One year passed without even one bid, nobody answered the plea. The second year came and went without a single answer to my request. I finally prayed to dear St. Joseph. Six months later I got my first and only bid for the condo plus it was a good bid. I got this bid on March 19th, St. Joseph's holy day. I have never stopped thanking him.
There were my other request he has answered from my prayers and I love him dearly and have strong faith in him. God bless, Penny

House sold within *one day* the Feast of Saint Joseph, March 19, 2002 !!
In my front window I had a big statue of Saint Joseph, everybody could see it. Since September, I almost have no work because of cut back. Could not keep my house in the country, and did not mind to sell it, because I did not use it so often. I was in real trouble. I called an agent, he went to see my house, and he put up the *for sale* sign and was to come to sign the contract that night. But between the time he went there and the same night...the house was sold! A neighbor heard about me selling it, and she called me asked me not to sign with the agent, she wanted the house for her son.
This all happened on March 19th - Feast of St Joseph !!
The house is a bit different from the picture, because I built a big porch outside it is much better, and the old antenna is not there either. http://ladyofroses.org/pam.htm
This is the letter I wrote to the woman who bought my house:
Dear Kathie, You saw a statue of St. Joseph in my window, the big statue.
One day I woke up and decided to put the house for sale, I asked St. Joseph to find somebody fast that needed a place like this.
So the 19th of March was the Feast of Saint Joseph in the Catholic Church, and this is the very day that you told me for the first time that you wanted to buy the house.
Beautiful coincidence, or whatever you want to call this, I like it!
Micheline
