Every Mass my husband and I assist is said for the Holy Souls.

Every daily rosary I say is for the Holy Souls.

Every Communion we receive is offered up for the Holy Souls.

We reuse the bottles that contain 'Spring Water'. I hate washing these bottles over and over, when we could buy new ones. It is like washing baby bottles again. I will offer each bottle I wash for the Holy Souls. The cleaning of each bottle will remind me that in some way, a Holy Soul is being cleaned at the same time.

I cannot stand on my feet for long, so all the pain I have in my feet, which at times can be quite extreme, I will offer up for the Holy Souls.

Everyday since my dad passed on 10/05/03 I have been offering all my daily masses for all souls in purgatory and of course for my dad too. i have a business which is very slow right now therefore I have lots of worry so I offered it up for all souls. My husband & I were in a financial slump & were suppose to receive a check from a pension from a union he worked at a few years ago. I am completely humbled by all the offerings made by all those at this site. They are truly awe-inspiring. Not that I thought I was the only one devoted to the Holy Souls, but reading about all the people who feel just like I do about the Holy Souls has left me weak. What a comfort to know that there are others!! Ever since grade school I have offered up all the indulgences I may have earned by making the Sign of the Cross. A good Sister made that suggestion to us as we were prepared for receiving our First Holy Communion. To that practice I have added any and all other indugences I may earn also for the Holy Souls' benefit. I say 100 Eternal rests daily. I give everything to Mary, our Beloved Mother, to do with what she will. We have a triduum of Masses said monthly for the Holy Souls. We have Masses offered weekly for our 2 mothers and 2 fathers, hoping that they may be in Heaven already, and that then those weekly Masses will be for whoever in Purgatory may need them. The Holy Souls always awaken me at the time I ask them to, without fail. I am deeply devoted to them. I could go on and on, but I think I have taken up too much of your time already. Indulgenced prayer piously believed (as revealed to St. Gertrude the Great by our Lord) to release 1000 Holy Souls from Purgatory each time it is prayed. I would like to offer my stress and all the deadline pressures and war anxieties for the intentions for the relief of the suffering of the holy souls. My family and I are under heavy stress and tension. I know the good Lord will redeem us from this crisis, but everything here in the middle east has deadlines, which have come and gone, and the pressure increases. I offer every Mass and I receive every Eucharist on behalf of the holy souls in purgatory. During First Friday Devotion on July 5, 2002, I received "Divine Approval" for doing this. The host began to pulsate in my mouth. I had trouble making it through the Litany afterwards. I was so overwhelmed. I pray the St. Gertrude Prayer several times a day and have my two young children learning to pray it as well. Saving the souls in purgatory has been a goal of mine since I was a child. It was my Grandmother's devotion to it that inspired me. She passed away in '84 and I feel close to her in doing the same. I also suffer greatly with anxiety and hardship as a result of a troubled teen I am raising and would like to ask the holy souls to help pray for me to overcome these sufferings and be a much stronger Christian. I would like to offer my prayers for the Holy Souls for the sale of our house now that we truly need to sell it. Every Morning that I get in my car to drive to work, I will listen to the Rosary Priest 5:30 a.m. on 99.1 FM and pray the Rosary with the Rosary Prayers, if I miss the time, I will say rosary alone and not put on radio unless inclement weather is in the area. I travel about 30 miles one way and I will spend my travel time getting to work in prayer and not listen to radio or tapes until I feel I have completed my prayers. I feel in my heart that the petitions and prayers of the Holy Souls made the difference. We talked about the holy souls praying for this intention in the morning, and that same afternoon we got our first offer. I truly released it and left it in God's hands.

My offering for the Holy Souls started about 8 months ago. I try to say 15 decades of the Rosary every day, although on weekends I slack off. Whenever I say the rosary alone and not in a group I have been inserting the St. Gertrude prayer between each of my decades. I urge all to do the same as our Blessed Mother will take all these prayers to her Son, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and obtain relief and eventually release for so many souls from their purgatorial sufferings. When I returned to the Church (after being away about 22 years) and began to seriously study it and all of Her teachings, someone told me that sometimes the Poor Souls will wake people up in the morning so that they will not oversleep and will be able to attend Mass. So now, when I am very tired and don't trust myself or my alarm clocks, I say a little prayer at night (kind of like a spiritual "To Whom It May Concern"). I say silently that if a Holy Angel or a Poor Soul in Purgatory will wake me up and not let me go back to sleep and help me to get my tired body dressed and into the chapel (which is right next door to my home!!!), I promise to offer up for whomever wakes me my Holy Communion (and usually all the graces I would have received from Mass too). This might seem like an insignificant thing to trouble angels or poor souls, but I figure if they want the graces from Holy Communion or Mass, they will help me get to Mass. And of course, I pray the whole world (at least all Catholics, at least) will learn and pray frequently the prayer Our Lord gave to St. Gertrude . When this prayer is prayed, 1000 souls are released from Purgatory. Also, we must remember to offer up prayers for angels too. Our prayers (and sacrifices) are ammunition for them to use to combat evil. Sr. J.J. 6/12/2002

I would like to offer up tomorrow (Tuesday, June 11th) my hearing Mass and receiving our Blessed Lord in Holy Eucharist for the Holy Souls in Purgatory, especially for those who have no one to pray for them. I have just registered 278 souls from 11 generations of my family for the Padre Pio pilgrimmage and and am offering up this horrible ear infection I am suffering for them since I can't stop to pray a Hail Mary for all 278 of them.
